The Tea Chalets, Ilukketiya

The Terms and Conditions (Package Conditions, Deposit Policy and Cancellation Policy, below) apply to all bookings, so please read it carefully before sending us your confirmed booking request for selected dates and packages.

Ilukketiya Tea Chalets Current rates

Please contact our office for special rates during this covid period.

There is currently a minimum two-night stay for accommodation between Friday and Sunday.

Please contact us for current standard rates for a chalet (for 6 nights or less) or (7 consecutive nights). Sri Lankan-style breakfast is included. Each chalet can accommodate two people.

Terms and Conditions

Ilukketiya Estate (Pvt) Ltd (“Ilukketiya Tea Chalets”) is a privately owned hospitality company. We can arrange for delivery to you of other products or services from local suppliers, at your request, and we can make recommendations, but these are not resort services, and we are your agents in these transactions, not a contracted supplier.

Package Conditions

All packages quoted are based on on one or two people occupying one chalet or room. If you require additional rooms or wish us to set up a single folding bed for a child, please let us know. Also let us know if you have any food allergies, or wish us to provide western food.

We allocate rooms as bookings are received, and generally give you your preferred room. However, we cannot guarantee that you will be in a particular room or chalet.

Check-out time is 10:00 am on the day of departure. Check-in time is 2:00 pm to allow time for room cleaning. If you need to leave bags with us earlier than that, or would like us to arrange transport for you, just let us know.

Deposit Policy

Your booking is made, and the reservation deemed to be final, upon receipt of this form by us.

Bookings made more than a month in advance: To secure your reservation, a 10% deposit is required. This is a 10% non-refundable administration fee. Please provide credit card details below.
The balance of the chosen package will be charged to the same card 30 days prior to your arrival date.

Bookings made less than a month in advance: If your reservation is made within 30 days of arrival, payment in full is required at the time of booking.

Payment by Credit Card will incur a transaction fee: Visa & MasterCard will attract a 1% surcharge; Amex & Diners Club will attract a 1.75%. Please request bank details if you wish to pay by direct deposit. Note that if you choose that option, you will be required to pay in full.

We strongly advise you to take out travel insurance to protect you against unexpected changes to your travel plans.

Cancellation Policy

If you cancel more than 30 days before your arrival date, your 10% non-refundable administration fee is retained by us, along with any credit card surcharges. Any balance you have paid will be returned to you.

If you cancel 14 days or more (but less than 30 days) before your arrival date, no refund will be given. but you may use the balance of your payment (after deduction of the 10% administration fee) as credit towards future stays within 2 years of your booking.

If you cancel within 14 days of your booked arrival date, we retain 100% of the payment as a cancellation fee.

If this reservation cannot be fulfilled as a result of natural disaster, state of emergency, pandemic, or other ‘act of God’ making it impossible, your payment will be applied as a credit towards future stays. No refunds will be issued.
